It is also a hub on the border between Serbia and Hungary.The works on the reconstruction of the station included the reconstruction of the freight and passenger terminals, as well as works on the replacement of tracks of six sidings.A total of 23 kilometers of tracks and 113 switches were reconstructed.By the way, the project of modernization and reconstruction of the Belgrade-Budapest railway is a project of cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and it is also the first project connecting Chinese railway technology and equipment with the technical specifications of European Union railway interoperability.
