The stampede occurred while the religious preacher was addressing his followers in a specially erected tent in Rati Bhanpur village of Sikandra Rau area of Katras district, Hindustan Times reported.According to the police, it appears that the lack of oxygen at the venue, on a very hot and humid day, caused discomfort among people attending the religious event and they began to flee in panic, leading to a stampede.According to one of the survivors, the stampede occurred at the end of the religious gathering as everyone was in a hurry to leave the gathering place.Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered emergency services to speed up aid delivery. It&#39;s truly tragic to hear about the stampede during the satsang in Hathras, UP, resulting in such a loss of life and injuries, especially among women and children.
