Brnabić: The reason for opposition's fiasco is hatred, there are no call centers in ODIHR Report

And I think that the citizens punished it, especially after those scenes from Sunday, with which the opposition even motivated our voters who would not go to the elections, to come out and say what they think about it to have a dialogue in the parliament. Let&#39;s talk even if we don&#39;t agree. Physical confrontation with dissenters is something that I always condemn and will always condemn. This is exactly what the citizens do not want. You have a standard in the country that Serbia does not remember, we have a goal of 1,400 euros in 2027, the average pension and 650 euros. And in such a progressing country, no one doesn&#39;t want any fight in the streets,&quot; said Brnabić.Speaking about the preliminary report published yesterday by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, ODIHR, Brnabić pointed out that it does not mention call centers in a single letter, nor, according to the opposition, the disputed name of their list.&quot;To be completely honest, there are both positive and negative aspects in the ODIHR report. We will continue to work on the implementation of their recommendations. Two things are most important to me - in the entire ODIHR report, you do not have a single sentence about our call centers. On the invitation of the opposition, they even visited three of our call centers in Belgrade alone, and therefore they also confirmed that this is regular thing in a democratic country, that a party has its own call center. And another thing, which is especially important for civil society organizations of Citizen Initiatives - it doesn&#39;t say anything about the name of the list that contains the name of Aleksandar Vučić, so it&#39;s not even mentioned in the report. So much for what certain organizations are fighting against. One of the points I will ask for additional clarification is the media. For example, in the last weeks of the campaign, there was a debate show on the state public broadcaster where the ratio of forces was three to one. Three representatives of the opposition and one representative of the government. They have 45 minutes, and we have 15. They attack that one all the time, who needs 15 minutes to respond to all those attacks and present our program and that is an equal relationship,&quot; Brnabić asked.The Speaker of the Parliament said that the result of Dr. Milić in Ni&scaron; is an example that it is possible to achieve a good result in the elections, and that the talk about bad election conditions is just an alibi for low voter support.&quot;People also appreciated the work of Aleksandar Vučić during the elections. I go to the field a lot in Belgrade and in the whole of Serbia and people simply love him. They know how committed he is, how hard he works and they know that Serbia is safe while he leads it. And I want to thank him once again for lending his name to our list. That was our advantage, but by no means an undemocratic advantage. This is something that is done all over the world, something that Boris Tadić also did when he was the president of the country, in much worse election conditions than today. In 2012, the opposition won, without a single voter list, without an address register... You can also see in Ni&scaron;, for example, the result of Dragan Milić&#39;s group of citizens, kudos to him for the result, he received huge support, while the opposition in Ni&scaron; fared poorly, but they are trying to attach themselves to Mr. Milić. So it is possible to achieve a good result. But that is the point - in today&#39;s Serbia, which is networked with highways and expressways, which will have a high-speed railway to Subotica, which is the leader in foreign direct investments, by the end of the year is building a BIO4 campus, in such a country, you cannot base your politics on the fact that someone will vote against someone. So you should sit down, put great effort, create a vision, create local and municipal committees... Don&#39;t offer hatred, don&#39;t attack everything with a focus on Aleksandar Vučić. People see that he lives for this country and they see how hard he works and they don&#39;t want to vote for hatred,&quot; said Brnabić.She pointed out that the opposition was completely focused on preventing voters who do not vote for them from going to the polls.&quot;It seems to me that they completely forgot their voters. They focused on preventing our voters from coming out, instead of appealing to theirs and fighting every minute of Sunday. I, on the other hand, had the opportunity to learn from the best, and that&#39;s Aleksandar Vučić, and not only in Serbia, but he is a world-class politician. So, I learned to focus on myself, on what my party is doing, to fight for my voters. I spent Sunday, like every election day, in the city committee of the Serbian Progressive Party. Our call centers work non-stop, they have lists of our safe votes that we have been working on for years, even decades. On the other hand, one of the leaders of the opposition, Djordje Pavićević, spent five hours in our election center. I told our people to offer him drinks and food. But imagine if I spent five hours in their coalition&#39;s election center that&#39;s what I&#39;m saying - well, I lost at Vračar as well. Well, maybe I would have won if I had dealt with my members. It was completely expected that they would have such a debacle when the first scenes of violence were seen on election day: Banjica, Novi Sad, Dorćol... It was crystal clear to me how it would end,&quot; said the president of the assembly and directed message to citizens.&quot;I really want to thank all the citizens who participated in the elections, especially those who supported us. Now the responsibility is on us, to fulfill everything we promised,&quot; concluded Brnabić.
