Respecting the rules, the police demanded that one person get out - the passenger, while the other person remained in the vehicle."The passenger got out, the person behaved normally in terms of gesticulation, he was smiling, police officer Ilić was on the left side, in the driver's area to keep him under control. Immediately after the start of the face control, shots were heard, it was in the back part of the vehicle," said Vasiljević.He states that the assailant fired several shots at police officer Ilić and hit him in the right shoulder."As he (Ilić) says - it was very difficult, but he managed to fire several shots at that person," said Vasiljević.There is no information whether the attacker was wounded. Ilic also said that the attacker did not know or did not want to speak the Serbian language.

Assistant Police Director Dragan Vasiljević said that he visited the wounded policeman Vjekoslav Ilic and that he is conscious and feeling well.
