Russia has sent two strategic bombers into the airspace of Belarus.

A Russian citizen was detained on suspicion of helping illegal migrants to enter Poland from Belarus, the Border Police said later. According to the media, in the last 24 hours, almost 600 attempts of illegal incursion into Poland were recorded. In addition to the Russians, citizens of Sweden and Lithuania were also arrested, accused of helping to smuggle migrants.

Charles Michel: "EU must stop hybrid attacks"

European Council President Charles Michel said today in Warsaw that the European Union must stop hybrid attacks on the borders not only against Poland, and condemned the Belarusian authorities who send children and entire refugee families to the borders to try to enter Poland or the Baltic republics by force.

"We must act efficiently, uniquely, and also relying on our core values. The footage that reaches us shows the monstrous cynicism with which the authoritarian regime tramples on basic human dignity, pushing families, women, children into degrading and unacceptable situations", President of the EU Michel said at a press conference with the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Charles Michel said that those images shocked him and that the entire European Union condemned such actions of the Belarusian authorities.

Russian strategic bombers patrolled the airspace of Belarus

Two long-range Tu-22 bombers of the Russian Air Force patrolled the airspace of Belarus today, Russian Ministry of Defense announced today.

The statement said that during the summer, there was an interaction with the checkpoints of the Russian and Belarusian armies on the ground. It is added that the bombers participated in the inspection of the joint defense system of Russia and Belarus, RIA Novosti reports.

The ministry stated that all tasks were successfully completed, after which the aircraft returned to the air base in Russia.
