Kosovo: Custody for central bank governor
Kosovo central bank governor Hashim Rexhepi, who was <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2010&mm=07&dd=23&nav_id=68641" class="text-link" target= "_blank">arrested on Friday</a>, has been remanded into custody for one month, EULEX stated.

Kosovo central bank governor Hashim Rexhepi, who was arrested on Friday, has been remanded into custody for one month, EULEX stated. The decision for the custody period was made by the Pristina District Court. Kosovo: Custody for central bank governor EULEX has yet to state the reason behind Rexhepi’s arrest, but earlier statements showed that Kosovo police from the special sector for anticorruption searched the private homes of four suspects a total of seven times, one of the suspects being Rexhepi. The searches were related to an ongoing investigation regarding financial corruption, which includes suspicions of officials misusing their positions, accepting bribes, evading taxes, and laundering money.
