Serbian police (MUP) officers from police headquarters in Belgrade and Subotica arrested a ten-member criminal group today. The raids were conducted by MUP PTJ (Counter-Terrorist Unit) during the night and in the early hours of Tuesday. MUP nab another crime group The suspects are believed to have been involved in drug smuggling, arms running and people trafficking. 12 rifles, two pistols, ammunition and narcotics, along with a large cache of technical goods, were seized during the arrests. The weapons were meant to be sold in Hungary and western Europe, police believe. One police officer was among those detained.
