Croatian PM "intensively discussing" lifting blockade
The Croatian government announced this on Twitter, in a post that read:"Milanovic: I am intensively discussing with my associates canceling today or tomorrow the measures on the border that the RH (Republic of Croatia) had to introduce" In a statement carried by the Croatian daily Jutarnji List, Milanovic also said this move would come "with the warning that I will, at any moment when I deem it in the interest of Croatia, reach for something similar or the same thing."
In the same statement, he accused the Serbian prime minister of holding secret talks with the Croatian opposition and being "in cahoots" with Hungary.
Earlier in the day, Brussels asked Croatia for "an urgent explanation" of it decision to close the border for trucks entering from Serbia, while EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who was in Belgrade on Friday, urged Croatia to lift its blockade.
