The Kosovo Police Service (KPS) has discovered two female victims of human trafficking in a hotel basement. “Thanks to cooperation from citizens, members of the anti-human trafficking unit discovered two females from Kosovo in a hotel basement on Friday, that had been locked up there against their will,” announced the Pec Regional Police. KPS rescues 2 human trafficking victims One Kosovo Albanian was arrested during the raid on suspicion of unlawfully incarcerating the girls, and for human trafficking. A preliminary investigation has revealed that the two girls, who are of Albanian ethnicity, were locked up there for over two months. The public prosecutor has ordered that the suspect be remanded in custody.
