Horrible footage from Turkey: Fire consumes hotel; People fled through the window - there was no escape

The current death toll in this terrible event is 66, and it is suspected that there will be more. The number of injured is 51. What is even more tragic is that a certain number of victims died because they jumped out of the window to escape the fire.

Guests in panic jumped from the windows of a hotel building in the Kartalkaya ski resort in the middle of the night, Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu said, and dramatic footage of white hotel sheets hanging from windows and people climbing down appeared on social media. Unfortunately, at least two people lost their lives after jumping from higher floors in an attempt to escape the fire.

Terrible videos and photos of the hotel on fire, which engulfed the entire complex, were published on social networks.

As a reminder, the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort in Bolu early Tuesday morning, and firefighters worked for hours to put it out, Bolu Governor Abdulaziz Aydin told state broadcaster TRT.
