Europe runs out of gas: The only remaining source of supply attacked
On January 11, the Kyiv regime tried to use nine drones to attack the "Ruska" compressor station near Anapa in the Krasnodar Territory and thus prevent the supply of gas to European countries, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.
This station enables the delivery of gas via "Turkish Stream".
The Ministry pointed out that all the drones were shot down, the building and equipment of the gas measuring station were damaged to a lesser extent by debris.
"The consequences have been remedied as a matter of urgency, the station is working normally," the Ministry's press release points out.
All the drones were shot down. There were no injuries, adds the military department.
"Turkey Stream" is an export gas pipeline consisting of two lines. One of them is intended for the delivery of gas from Russia via the Black Sea to Turkey, and the other - to the countries of southern and southeastern Europe.
Its capacity reaches 31.5 billion cubic meters per year. The gas pipeline was commissioned in January 2020. After the sabotage of the Nord Stream, it remained the only route for uninterrupted deliveries of Russian fuel to the European market.
Gazprom employees promptly removed the consequences and restored the equipment. Now the compressor station is pumping gas as usual, the Ministry of Defense concluded.
The armed forces of Ukraine try to attack targets in the border and central regions of Russia with drones every day. Air defense systems destroy most enemy vehicles.
