Zelensky enraged: Well, he's crazy VIDEO
At a press conference in Brussels on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the "invitation to a duel" sent to Kyiv by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Russian leader, let's recall, at his big annual conference, which, like every year, lasted for several hours, said that he would use the new medium-range ballistic missile (IRBM) "Oreshnik" against Kyiv to test the Western air defense systems in, as Putin said a "technological duel" with the West.
Putin then proposed launching the Nutcracker at sites in Kyiv, while challenging the West to deploy its air defenses to intercept it, claiming the missile was invincible.
Reacting to those statements, the Ukrainian president said:
"The person sitting in the Kremlin proposed a technological duel.
He said: 'We will target, say, Kyiv, and let them defend themselves with anti-aircraft defense systems'. Do you think a reasonable person can say that? He is crazy and I think he knows it," said the Ukrainian President.
Later, Zelensky also published a video with Putin's proposal about a "duel" on the X social network, calling it "stupid".
"People die, and he thinks it's interesting. Nonsense," Zelensky wrote. Putin's comments followed his earlier threats to use Oreshnik missiles to attack "decision-making centers" in Kyiv.
