Putin's general killed; He was blown up
Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of the Russian forces for radiation, chemical and biological defense, died in an explosion in Moscow, according to the world media.
Just a day earlier, Ukraine's State Security Service (SBU) convicted Kirillov in absentia of using banned chemical weapons in Ukraine. Kirilov and another Russian soldier, said to be his personal assistant, were killed in an explosion near the entrance to a residential building in Moscow in the early morning hours of December 17, according to the Russian Telegram news channel Astra. The Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated criminal proceedings regarding this incident. The committee said the explosion was caused by a device mounted on a scooter near the entrance to the building. "In the morning hours of December 17, on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow, an explosive device was activated, placed in a scooter parked next to the entrance to a residential building. As a result of the incident, Igor Kirilov and his assistant were killed," announced the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
Who was Kirillov?
Kirillov was known for his statements about the activities of foreign biological laboratories and their possible connection with the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
According to Sputnik, Kirillov has repeatedly claimed that the US is expanding its network of biological laboratories outside its territory and conducting research with highly pathogenic viruses and bacteria, which, in his opinion, represents a biological threat to other countries.
In January 2024, he said that senior US officials deliberately obstructed the investigation into the causes of the COVID-19 pandemic and manipulated public opinion.
Among them he named former CIA Director Gina Haspel, Health Secretary Alex Azar and White House Counsel Anthony Fauci.
In March 2022, Kirillov presented documents confirming the implementation of military biological programs by the US and its NATO allies in Ukraine.
He stated that biological weapons components are being produced in Ukraine and that the Pentagon is conducting dangerous experiments assessing the susceptibility of the Ukrainian population to zoonotic infections.
