"Nuclear warheads are here, you didn't even notice how we brought them in"
There are dozens of nuclear warheads in Belarus, President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko said, Belta agency reported, RIA Novosti writes.
As the Belarus leader emphasized, he warned his enemies of an immediate response in case of violation of the country's borders.
"I will not look at nuclear weapons or anything else," Lukashenko clarified. He added that he noticed that many people wrote that it was some kind of joke.
"I brought here nuclear warheads, not one but 10. Many people write - well, it's a joke, no one brought anything. We imported. And those who say it's a joke means they missed it. They didn't even notice how we brought them in," Lukashenko said, the Belta agency reported.
Lukashenko said that the Russians returned nuclear weapons to Belarus.
"They still haven't (returned all) the weapons we gave them. There were strategic weapons. And this is a tactical nuclear weapon, although probably five times more powerful than this 'nutcracker'," said Lukashenko.
He pointed out that the use of nuclear weapons is a great responsibility, and that after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, "nobody has pressed the button for nuclear weapons yet."
We remind you that the Presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, signed the Agreement on Security Guarantees in the Federal State of Russia and Belarus. At the meeting of the Higher Council of the Federal State on December 6 in Minsk, Lukashenko asked Putin to deliver the Oreshnik missiles to them, to which Putin replied that this would be possible in the second half of 2025.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus stated that Russia previously tested "Oreshnik" missiles in combat conditions, and that these missiles will be deployed in Belarus, in response to the steps taken by the USA and Germany to deploy medium-range missiles in Europe.
As a reminder, the US has announced that it will start deploying Tomahawk, SM-6 and LRHV missiles in Germany next year.
