Let's recall, all the world's media reported on Sunday that in the middle of the rebellion in Syria, President Bashar al-Assad disappeared, and that he boarded a plane with his family and left Syria.

Then the plane, the "Ilyushin 76T" he was in, suddenly disappeared from the radar, which led to speculation that Assad's plane had been shot down.

However, according to the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine, none of this happened because Assad's "disappearance" was actually orchestrated by Moscow.

As the "RBC Ukraine" portal reports, Russia used disinformation to cover up its operation to save the Syrian dictator and a limited number of people close to him.

"The loss of the signal of Assad's plane from the radar is probably the result of the actions of the crew, who followed the instructions of the Russians and flew in their direction," the Defense Intelligence Service announced.

At the same time, the intelligence officers write that the situation of the Russian contingent in Syria is now constantly difficult, and the remnants of the Russian forces continue to "hastily pack up and run."

"The commanders of the Russian army were the first to flee. In particular, the failed General Sergei Kisel, the newly appointed commander of Russian troops in Syria, General Aleksandr Chaiko, who was also known as the general of generals, left the territory of that Middle Eastern country. Chaiko was in command for a week", adds the Ukrainian intelligence service.

According to intelligence, the Russians have engaged additional ships, including those from the Russian Baltic Fleet, to export the remains of their weapons, equipment and personnel.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Syrian president allegedly agreed to a "peaceful" transfer of power and then left Syria.

Prior to that, Reuters reported that Assad could have died in a plane crash because his plane took a strange route and then disappeared from radar.

On December 8, Syrian rebels took control of the capital Damascus and ousted Assad from power.
