An appalling threat: Damascus falls; Invasion of the presidential palace and "naked pictures" PHOTO/VIDEO
The Islamic rebels in Syria, who captured the city of Aleppo, also stormed the palace of President Bashar al-Assad.
Syrian rebels have released footage of their attack, as well as footage of what they found in the presidential palace, thus revealing personal moments from the life of the Syrian president, through photographs found in the palace.
Aleppo, by the way, is a city in the north of Syria, and now it is the strongest stronghold of the Islamic rebels.
These pictures, also published on the social network X, have attracted attention because they show Assad in private moments from his youth.
Let's recall that after capturing Aleppo, the Islamists continued their advance and captured the city of Hama.
According to analysts, capturing that city opens the way for them to advance further towards Damascus, the capital of Syria.
According to the latest information, the rebel groups, led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham organization, entered two more cities in central Syria, Rastan and Talbiseh, which brought them closer to the third largest Syrian city, Homs.
According to reports, the rebels are now five kilometers away from Homs. The Lebanese group Hezbollah last night sent "surveillance forces" to Syria to prevent the rebels from taking over Homs, Lebanese security sources said.
According to information provided by Syrian military officials and regional sources close to Tehran, elite Hezbollah troops have crossed over from Lebanon and taken up positions in Homs, a key strategic city in central Syria.
At the same time, the leader of the US-backed Syrian Kurdish forces, Mazloum Abdi, said that the Islamic State has captured several areas in eastern Syria. Abdi pointed to the increased activity of members of the Islamic State in the Syrian desert.
They estimate that the fall of Damascus will be a turning point in the multi-year civil war. Rebels have already sent a warning from Hama, where they also stormed the president's residence.
In a video posted on the X social network, they tell Assad that Damascus will fall.
The capture of Hama, one of Syria's largest cities, highlights the inability of government forces to maintain control in critical areas.
