New assassination on Trump planned? PHOTO
An Arizona man has been arrested after allegedly posting videos online calling for the assassination of US President-elect Donald Trump and his family, authorities said.
Manuel Tamayo-Torres is accused of posting videos "almost daily" accusing Trump and members of his family of child abduction and trafficking, according to documents filed in federal court in Arizona, NBC News reports.
Although not specifically named in the documents, Trump is identified as "Person 1" - the former president and the president-elect.
Tamayo-Torres was arrested in Southern California on Monday. His attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
He was charged with the criminal offense of threatening the newly elected president and four criminal offenses of providing false information when purchasing a firearm.
In 2003, Tamayo-Torres was convicted of aggravated assault and sentenced to five years in prison in California.
