Brutal attack: They were razed to the ground PHOTO/VIDEO
Eleven people were killed and 23 were injured in an attack by the Israeli army in central Beirut, Al-Manar TV announced today, citing the Lebanese health authorities.
Israeli fighter jets with five missiles reportedly "completely destroyed an eight-story building," leaving a crater on the ground.
The Israeli army did not issue an order to evacuate civilians before the attack, as it had done in previous attacks on the strongholds of the terrorist group Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
There was no official comment from the Israeli military on the latest strike, which came hours after Israeli warplanes carried out two waves of strikes on the Lebanese coastal city of Tire last night, as well as additional strikes on the south of the country and Hezbollah strongholds in southern Beirut.
