Musk got a position in the US government!
The CEO of Tesla and Platform X, Elon Musk, got his place in the government of the new US President Donald Trump.
Musk, along with Republican politician Vivek Ramaswamy, will lead the Department of Government Efficiency in the Trump administration.
"These two exceptional Americans will help my administration cut unnecessary regulations and costs and reorganize federal agencies - which is critical to the 'Save America' movement," Trump said in a statement, according to the BBC.
Musk shared the news at X, but did not say how the role might affect his commitments at other companies. The world's richest man has previously spoken about his desire to work with Trump to reduce government spending.
We wouldn't be surprised if Musk came up with the name of this department himself - "Department of Government Efficiency" and it was very convenient for him to present it with the acronym DOGE, which is also Musk's favorite cryptocurrency, but also his favorite meme.
