Putin sent a message; "The head of state issued instructions"
Russian agencies, referring to the Kremlin, reported that the director of the FSB - Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bortnikov, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the deadly attack at the concert.
"Putin was informed in the first minutes of the attack and is regularly "updated" with information. The president constantly receives information about what is happening and the measures being taken through all relevant services. The head of state issued all the necessary instructions," the Kremlin said.
Putin wished a speedy recovery to those injured in a terrorist attack at a concert near Moscow, state news agency TASS reported, citing Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
More than 60 people were killed and 145 wounded on Friday when masked gunmen opened fire with automatic weapons on concertgoers near Moscow in one of the deadliest attacks on Russia in decades.
The Islamic State, a militant group that once seized control of parts of Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for the attack, the Amaq Group agency reported on Telegram.
