Classes are suspended in some schools in Serbia; The reason is the fear of the killer
Due to the police search for the fugitive Alija Balijagić, who is suspected of having committed a double murder in the village of Sokolac, classes have been suspended in certain Brodarevo schools.
Due to reports from the inhabitants of the Prijepolje and Brodarevo villages, the Serbian forces joined the search, but the fugitive eluded pursuit for ten days.
"Since the fugitive was not caught during the night, we made the decision that the three separated classes of the school from Brodarevo attend school in the home school, and the classes in Hrti will be suspended today. We will monitor the situation and see what we will do next," Prijepolje Municipality President Drago Popadić told RINA.
He adds that a large number of police are present in the villages that gravitate towards the border with Montenegro and points out that everything is being done to keep the locals as safe as possible.
However, he once again appeals to the locals to lock their homes and if they need medical or any other help, to notify the local self-government or the police.
"During yesterday, over 80 buildings were inspected, and the search continues. What makes the search difficult is certainly the very inaccessible terrain, with a lot of caves, pits and abandoned houses. And the fact is that Balijagić knows this terrain very well. We hope that with all the efforts made, that he will be found," Popadić points out.
