The report states that Russian troops attempted to attack Ukrainian defenses. The assault force consisted of 13 armored vehicles with infantry, four tanks, a Terminator tank support vehicle and four motorcycles.

Ukrainian forces managed to destroy nine armored vehicles, two tanks, a Terminator combat vehicle and all four motorcycles, and damaged two additional armored vehicles.

In the conflict, 25 Russian soldiers were killed and 23 were wounded.
 

More than a week ago, Russia claimed to have captured the village of Zoryane in eastern Ukraine, setting the stage for an advance on Kurakhovo, an industrial center west of the city of Donetsk.

The ongoing offensive has brought Russian forces within a few kilometers of the center of Kurakhovo.

Before the Russian invasion in 2022, Kurahovo was home to about 20,000 people.

The city is located south of Pokrovsk, a strategic logistics center in the region.
