At least six people were killed and 25 injured when a tourist bus overturned in Aksaray, Turkey.

The tourist bus overturned for an unknown reason at the Acipinar location on the Aksaray - Ankara highway. Numerous ambulances, police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

According to preliminary data, six people died in the accident and 25 were injured.

Aksaray Governor Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu said the tourist bus was going from Balukesir to Cappadocia.

"Unfortunately, six of our citizens died in this traffic accident. According to initial information, we have 25 injured. An investigation has been launched," added Kumbuzoğlu.
