Iran has informed the US and some countries in the Middle East that it will retaliate against any new attack by Israel, a source in Tehran familiar with the diplomatic talks told CNN today.

On Friday, a source told CNN that Israel's cabinet had discussed how to respond to Iran's Oct. 1 missile attack, but had not made a decision on it.
