Residents warned. The army made an urgent announcement: "Save your lives"
The Israeli army extended its evacuation warnings to residents of 21 more villages in southern Lebanon, urging them to move to the rest of the country.
People living in villages near the Israeli border have been warned to move about 50 kilometers north of the Awali River, CNN reported.
"Anyone who finds himself in the vicinity of Hezbollah elements and its facilities and weapons puts his life in danger," said Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Avichay Adraee, speaking in Arabic.
He repeated the advice of previous messages from the IDF, and called on the residents of the area to evacuate immediately in the direction north of the Awali River, "to save their lives".
A series of Israeli evacuation directives this week, with the latest warnings issued, now affect at least 157 villages.
More than a quarter of Lebanon's territory has been placed under an evacuation order by Israel.
