Commenting on the latest escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, i.e. Iran's attack on Israel, he said that official Tehran "weighed" for a long time whether it should respond to Israel because the intention of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from the start was to drag Iran into war.

However, it seems, as he says, that now the main attack by Iran is over, and that Israel has decided to vent all its anger on Lebanon.

"I talked to my sister, last night was a sleepless night. Beirut was heavily bombed. Today they went to Lebanon for the first time and according to the latest information the Israelis suffered heavy losses. Helicopters were seen carrying the wounded and the dead to hospitals. About 20 soldiers were wounded and killed. It will be a difficult and big battle, the Israelis will enter the living mud where they will have great losses, and that is what Hezbollah is waiting for," Haidar Diab said.

"There has never been a worse situation, Israel's goal is destruction. For the first time in history, we have a million Lebanese refugees. There have never been so many refugees. The Israelis demolished about fifty blocks of buildings last night. They will try to move the Lebanese against Hezbollah, given that there is still nothing on the front they did not achieve. I think that the battle of all battles will be in Lebanon. The main leader is Hezbollah, that is, Lebanon," he added.

According to him, retaliation is certain and will happen. Hezbollah, as he says, suffered unprecedented blows, and no one believed that what happened would actually happen.

"When we look at the goals of Israel's most radical government, which strives for a greater Israel, today we see that it is no longer a limited ground operation, it is proof that they strive for a greater Israel. After Lebanon, they plan to attack Syria'', he said publicly.

''The Iranians had to intervene even though they calculated for a long time. Netanyahu wants to drag them into that conflict, his intention from the beginning is to destroy the Iranian nuclear facility," said Hassan Haidar Diab.

He adds that Iran's attack on Israel on Monday night was not expected by Netanyahu and his government.

"The attack is a major security breach," Haidar Diab added.

"I think Israel suffered a heavy blow from Iran, they can now say that the attack failed, but we saw live how the ballistic missiles fell, and their air defense failed completely. If the Americans and Jordanians had not shot down a large part of the missiles, today, Israel would be returned to the Middle Ages," Haidar Diab believes.

He also states that it is logical that Israel will respond to Iran's attack, but also notes that they cannot respond without America.

"Since we have been following, for forty years, and since the Israeli government wants to attack Iran, it is always with the help of the USA. Israel cannot do it alone. Netanyahu said yesterday that Iran will pay a high price and then attacks Lebanon. What is made? If you're a guy and you think you're so strong and powerful, why didn't you attack Iran right away?", asks this expert, adding that the Iranians "played smart" in that case.

"While the ballistic missiles were flying at Israel, the Iraqis threw small rockets at the American base. That was a message to the Americans, if you are going to interfere, see what awaits you," concludes Hassan Haidar Diab.

However, he notes that the world is entering a dangerous vortex and reminds that he said 11 months ago that we will come to a regional war if the US does not stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.

"Now we are on the brink. The USA is the biggest culprit for what happened. The Biden administration showed great weakness towards Netanyahu, I don't know why. When Obama was there, he refused to bomb Syria. The Israelis urged him to bomb the nuclear facility in Iran, he refused. Obama had a firm position not to enter into senseless wars. But, Biden is not like that, he said that he has an understanding that Israel should start a military operation in Gaza... And on Monday, they said that they support the ground. operation in Lebanon. All the time they say 'no', then they say 'yes'. If Biden had been firm and told Netanyahu to stop, we wouldn't have this today", Haidar Diab then warns:
