Embassy: No Serbian citizens were killed or injured in Lebanon; "Leave Lebanon"
Serbian Embassy in Beirut announced that there were no Serbian citizens among the dead and injured in Lebanon and reiterated its recommendation to Serbian citizens in Lebanon to leave that country.
Ambassador Milan Trojanović stated that about 115 citizens of Serbia and 50-60 members of their immediate families are registered in the Embassy in Beirut and that this list is updated every day.
According to him, Serbia is following the reaction and actions of countries with a larger number of citizens in Lebanon, such as Brazil, Turkey, the USA and France, which advised their citizens to leave the country while the international airport is open.
"We advise the citizens of Serbia to do the same," said Trojanović.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and the Embassy of Serbia in Beirut are considering the possibility of evacuation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia appealed to citizens of Serbia in Lebanon to contact the Embassy in Beirut in case of need and submit their information, location, contact phone number, names of family members, so that they can be contacted in case of further deterioration of the security situation.
On September 30, the Ministry recommended Serbian citizens who are in Lebanon to leave the territory of that country due to the deterioration of the security situation.
