The strike was carried out with heavy weapons that used cluster munitions, and Ukrainian media reported that it was probably HIMARS, a powerful U.S. multi-barrel rocket launcher.

As reported by the Kyiv Post, the key traffic bridge over the Seym River was completely destroyed in the attack, which is why the Russian forces in that part of Kursk were probably left without the last way to safety and were probably captured.

The daylight attack that hit the reinforced concrete structure of the bridge was captured by drones operated by the Ukrainian tactical drone unit "Horne Group", which recently released a video of the impact.

The video shows three consecutive explosions from precise hits on the already damaged central part of the bridge. The first two warheads scattered cluster munitions that detonated on the bridge or in the water, and the third warhead detonated a single explosion.

The "Horne Group" announced that the affected bridge is located near the village of Kariz in the Kursk region and that, after the impact, it is no longer usable for vehicles.

The bridge is still passable on foot or by bicycle, but not by larger vehicles, and mainstream Ukrainian media reported that the bridge was completely impassable after the latest strikes.
