Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "concerned" by the massive anti-government protests in the country that have erupted over failed talks on the release of hostages held by Hamas and a ceasefire, The Times of Israel reported, citing unnamed officials.

At the protest in Tel Aviv, there was a clash between the police and the demonstrators, on which members of the security forces threw stun grenades, after the demonstrators blocked the Alayon highway.

At least 20 protesters were arrested. The protests came after the Israeli army located the bodies of six hostages in the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening.

At the same time, the families of the seven American hostages who are still in the enclave demanded in a statement today that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conclude an agreement on the return of the hostages and a truce.

The Israeli army also found the body of American hostage Hersh Goldberg Pollin, and US President Joseph Biden spoke to his parents to "express his condolences for the killing of their son by Hamas".
