Continued attacks: The growing number of Palestinians killed
The number of Palestinian victims killed in Israeli attacks on Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip has increased to 37, while the number of injured has increased to 120, Al Jazeera reported.
The Israeli attack came shortly after Israel issued new evacuation orders for some settlements in and around Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, announcing new attacks and claiming that the Israeli army was "adjusting the borders of the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi to keep the civilian population away from combat zones," reports Reuters.
Palestinian health officials claim that at least 16 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli tank attack on the Bani Suhaila settlement east of Khan Yunis, adding that the area was also bombed from the air.
The Palestinians, the United Nations and international aid agencies have said there is no safe place in the occupied Palestinian enclave.
Earlier this month, dozens of Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli attacks on humanitarian designated zones in Al-Mawasi.
