According to Antonov, some sober thoughts expressed at the summit in favor of a political and diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict were "muffled" by Russophobic rhetoric.

In the final declaration adopted at the summit in Washington, which was held from July 9 to 11, NATO members called Ukraine's entry into NATO irreversible and confirmed their support for Kyiv on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration.

"Once again, we confirm that we will be able to invite Ukraine to join the Alliance when the member countries agree and meet the conditions," the declaration states.

Through proportional contributions, NATO countries intend to provide a minimum core funding of 40 billion euros in the coming year and to provide a sustainable level of security assistance to Ukraine.
