Major accident: At least 14 people died
At least 14 people were killed and two were injured in the accident of an all-terrain vehicle that landed in a ravine in the mountainous region of Kashmir today, officials announced.
The accident happened in the Neelum Valley, a local official said, AP reported.
The rescuers transferred the injured to the hospital, and the cause of the accident has yet to be determined, the official added.
According to AP, in the region of Kashmir, which is divided between India and Pakistan, traffic accidents are frequent due to insufficient enforcement of regulations and safety standards, as well as poor road infrastructure.
