The court in Moscow issued an arrest warrant: Yulia Navalnaya was placed on an international warrant
Moscow's Basman District Court today issued an arrest warrant in absentia for Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, for alleged involvement in an extremist community.
"Yulia Borisovna was not available to the investigating authorities in the previous investigation. In this connection, she was placed on a warrant," the court's announcement states, as reported by Izvestia.
It is clarified that the court decided to adopt a preventive measure against Yulia Navalnaya after considering the petition of the investigative authorities.
A court in Moscow has issued an arrest warrant for the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny on charges of extremism, according to state media.
"She is accused of having committed a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - participation in an extremist organization," the statement added.
The period of detention is counted from the moment of extradition to the territory of Russia or from the moment of detention in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The federal supervisory body for finances, Rosfinmonitoring, today made a decision to include Navalnaya in the register of organizations and individuals involved in extremist activities or terrorism.
