Another European country will recognize Palestine

Spain, Ireland and Norway have already done so this week, joining a group of 140 countries that have already recognized a Palestinian state.

Their decision angered Israel. Today, the Slovenian government will send the proposal to the parliament for a decision on the recognition of Palestinian statehood.

"Due to the outrageous events and the massacre in Rafah, the Slovenian government decided not to wait for July. We will hold a government session on Thursday because we are appalled by the events in Rafah. We want this to be a clear message to the whole world. We must do everything we can to find a lasting solution and peace in the Middle East," Golob said.
