President of Iran died in a helicopter crash: The first photos from the crash site have arrived PHOTO

Rescue teams have reached the crash site where the helicopter was completely burned, an unnamed Iranian official told Reuters.

The first photos appeared on social networks, allegedly showing the wreckage of the helicopter.

"President Raisi's helicopter is completely burnt... unfortunately, all passengers are feared dead," the official said after search teams found the wreckage of the helicopter.

State television previously reported that search teams had found the crash site of the helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and that the president of Iran's Red Crescent said the situation was not "good".

Anadolu Agency reported that a Turkish drone assisting in the search identified a heat source suspected to be the wreckage of the helicopter and shared the coordinates of the possible crash site with Iranian authorities.
