Scandal before an important meeting: Eavesdropping devices found in government premises
Polish security services found and dismantled listening devices in the room where the ministerial council is to meet today, said the spokesman of the special services coordinator.
Poland, a Western military supply hub for Ukraine as Kyiv fights a Russian invasion, is on high alert for any signs of espionage activity.
"The State Protection Service, in cooperation with the Internal Security Agency, discovered and dismantled devices that could be used for eavesdropping in the room where the meeting of the Council of Ministers will be held today in Katowice," wrote Jacek Dobrzyński on the X social network.
"Services are carrying out further activities in connection with this issue," added Dobrzyński. The government announced yesterday that it is investigating whether a Polish judge who had access to classified information and sought political asylum in Belarus was spying.
