Chaos on the streets of the capital: Horses run through the streets, one covered in blood; People run away
Five horses, including one covered in blood, escaped in central London after throwing British soldiers from their saddles during a morning exercise.
At least one soldier was injured after spooked horses crashed into cars outside the Claremont Hotel on Buckingham Palace Road.
Witnesses say they heard the soldier screaming in pain after seeing him fall from his horse when the animal ran into the car.
After that, the other horses also got scared during the daily morning exercise at the Horse Guards Parade, in Whitehall, and it all happened this morning around 8.40.
One of the horses also appears to have run into a double-decker bus and smashed its windscreen, while another is said to have hit a black taxi.
Emergency services were sent to help the injured soldier, who was spotted on the road.
The street along which the horses ran away was closed, and police barricades were set up.
However, the horses continued to run through the streets and made it as far east as Aldwich before being calmed down and stopped by police on the motorway near Limehouse.
Officers are now waiting for military pens to take the animals away.
