Israel launched an attack on Iran VIDEO
Israel launched an attack on Iranian territory this morning, an unnamed US official told CNN.
The target is not nuclear powerplant, according to this official.
The scope of the objectives is not specified, but "nuclear and civilian locations were clearly not in that category," added another official, according to American television.
Iran's state television reported that three drones were spotted above the sky in Isfahan around 12:30 local time and were destroyed after the country's air defense system was activated, according to Reuters.
Earlier, the semi-official Fars news agency reported that "explosions" were heard near the international airport in Isfahan.
Isfahan province is home to a large airbase, a large missile manufacturing complex and several nuclear sites, according to the BBC.
Iran's IRNA agency reports that flights over several cities in the country have been suspended.
