Is Iran acquiring nuclear weapons?
Iran will be forced to acquire nuclear weapons in the event of an attack by the US or Washington's allies, Ali Larijani, an adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said today.

"Iran doesn't want to do this, but when you put pressure on them, they won't have a choice," he added, following US President Donald Trump's recent threats to Tehran.
Larijani said the US will force Iran to make "different" decisions if they decide to bomb Iran directly or through Israel, Anadolia reports.
"Iran does not want to go down this path, but when you put pressure on it, it finds a secondary justification and has no other choice." The people will advocate for it, claiming that it is necessary for the security of the country," he said.
On Sunday, Trump threatened Iran with bombing and additional tariffs if Tehran did not agree to a deal with Washington on its nuclear program, and Khamenei then warned of a "strong retaliation."
