Zakharova: NATO, Serbs remember

On March 24, the world community, that is, that part of it that knows history and has not lost the concept of justice and humanism, remembers the 26th anniversary of the start of NATO's aggression against Yugoslavia, wrote Maria Zakharova.

According to the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by attacking a sovereign state, the US and its satellites violated international law, undermined the foundations of security in Europe and caused a crisis in interstate relations that has not been overcome to this day.

"A lot has been said about the terrible events of 1999, minute by minute the chronology of the Western coalition's invasion has been analyzed, and the consequences have been carefully documented," Zakharova reminded.

"But that does not mean that, over time, the massacre in Yugoslavia fades in memory or loses its terrible symbolism. No matter how much the NATO allies call to forget the past, to 'turn the page', the memory of that bloody spring lives on in the Serbian people," Zakharova pointed out.
