Trump announced: Our people are on their way to Russia
US President Donald Trump said today that he received "positive messages" regarding the meeting of the American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia, but added that they mean nothing and that it is a "serious situation".

During the meeting with Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin, Trump pointed out that "the ball is in Russian President Vladimir Putin's court" and that the American delegation is traveling to Russia "right now" to talk with Russian representatives about the draft proposal that was presented yesterday in Jeddah, reports CNN.
''We will have to see. Now it's up to Russia. I hope we will get a ceasefire from Russia. If it comes to that, I think we are 80 percent to ending this terrible bloodshed,'' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
"I hope it won't be necessary. We can do that with Russia," Trump said in the White House when asked by reporters whether Washington has influence on Moscow in the context of the settlement.
Trump said he expects a positive reaction from Moscow and American representatives have already been sent there.
"People are driving there as we speak," Trump said.
He declined to comment on whether he has a scheduled meeting with Putin.
On Tuesday, a meeting between the American and Ukrainian delegations was held in Saudi Arabia. The office of Volodymyr Zelenskiy published a joint statement between Kyiv and Washington after the talks, which states that Kyiv is ready for the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by agreement of the parties.
The document also states that the US will immediately end the intelligence-sharing freeze and resume military supplies to Ukraine. Later, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed that arms deliveries to Ukraine through the Jasionka hub in Poland had returned to their previous level.
US President Donald Trump said that Kyiv is ready for a complete ceasefire, and now Washington is waiting for Moscow's reaction.

Trump pointed out that "we are getting closer to maybe doing something" regarding Ukraine, noting that he believes that the once "difficult" Ukrainian side has changed its way of thinking.
"I had someone (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky) who did not want peace. Now he has agreed to peace. So we will see," he said.
