Bomb alert in St. Petersburg: Zoo evacuated
Visitors and employees of the zoo in St. Petersburg were evacuated today due to a bomb report, the press service of the zoo announced.
"Leningrad Zoo received a tip-off about a bomb. All services were notified, and visitors and employees were evacuated," according to the statement, RIA reports.
It is added that the investigation is ongoing.
The Leningrad Zoo, located in the center of St. Petersburg, covers an area of four hectares and is one of the oldest zoos in Russia.
