The Ukrainian Intelligence Service (GUR) published an intercepted conversation in which claims were made that the Kupyansk region had been turned into a "slaughterhouse for Russians".

According to what was reported by "Kyiv Post", the conversation of a Russian woman from the Bryansk region was intercepted, although it was not specified with whom she was talking.
She allegedly spoke about the heavy losses suffered by the Russian army in the Kupyansk region.
The woman, who spoke about a relative who took part in the fighting, described the battlefield as a "meat grinder", contradicting Russian media reports.
"It's terrible there, a meat grinder. This is not what they (the media) write and show here. It's far from the truth," she said.
According to her, the Russian soldiers sent to fight in this sector do not return.
"No one is coming back from there. Everything is in blood, everything is in blood and bones," she added.
Serhiy Brachuk, the spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army "South", recently said, reminds "Kyiv Post", that Russian forces continue their attempts to advance in the Kupyansk sector.
"The Kupyansk sector is interesting for the enemy. It has become more active there. Ukrainian units are responding to the attacks," Brachuk said.
According to his claims, the Kupyansk-Vuzlovi route is a key strategic settlement for Russian forces due to its railway and logistics infrastructure.
"All Russian military logistics rely on railways. Therefore, the enemy is trying to occupy such locations in order to facilitate further movement," Brachuk added.
According to him, Russian forces are trying to establish small bridgeheads along the Oskil River for the advance towards Kupyansk and on the Kupyansk-Vuzlovi route.
These efforts are aimed at securing positions for a potential major offensive in the area.
