After the victory over Carlos Alcaraz, Serbian tennis player was not at training for the second day in a row, which is a sign of concern.
During the quarter-final match against the Spaniard, Novak was injured in the first set, which is why he had to ask for a medical time-out. He came back and won, but it was clear that problems still existed.
In the meantime, Tiley spoke up and gave hope to Djokovic's fans that everything will be fine with him. At least to some extent, as the tournament director made a statement the day after the match, that is, before the second consecutive missed training session.
"I spent enough time with Novak at two o'clock this morning and he was in good spirits. He and Carlos played a great match – and not only do I think he'll be ready for the semis, but he'd be ready to play later today", Tiley said.
Djokovic is scheduled to play in the semifinals on Friday, from 04:30 CET, against Alexander Zverev.
