On Sunday, Partizan basketball players beat Mornar in Bar and achieved their ninth consecutive victory in the ABA League and are the only undefeated team in the championship.
Believe it or not, but this opening of the season with 9 consecutive victories is the best start of Partizan since playing in the ABA League.
 
They beat Borac in the first round, then Spartak, Cibona, Studentski Centar, Zadar, Krka, FMP, Dubai and now Mornar, and in the next two rounds they have duels with Split and Igokea, and then there are duels against Budućnost, Red Star and Cedevita Olimpija.
 
Until now, Partizan's best start was 7-0 and that was the first time in the 2008/2009 season when the black and whites beat Krka, Helios, Hemofarm, Zadar, Zagreb, Budućnost and FMP, and lost to Red Star on November 16 in Pionir in front of its fans.

They scored 81:80 back then, when the red and white team was led by Elmedin Kikanović with 22 points, and Partizan's Žarko Rakočević with 15.

Then in the 2016/17 season, they tied six victories at the start of the season and defeated Mornar, MZT, Cibona, Karpoš Sokole, Olimpija and FMP, followed by losses against Buducnost 64:61, Red Star 83:72, and Cedevita 97:87.

Partizan started the 2021/22 season with seven consecutive victories, and lost to Red Star away from home with 71:56.

Prior to that match, they defeated Zadar, Split, Student Center, Cibona, Krka, Borac and FMP.

The following season, the performance was the same, 7-0, so they lost to Red Star by 90:74 as a guest, and before that, they beat Cibona, MZT, Student Center, Mornar, Mega, Borac and Split.
