Kyrgios on Djokovic: "I couldn't even dream"

Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic were not on the best of terms until recently, more precisely until 2022, when Djokovic was almost arrested at the airport in Melbourne and separated into quarantine in isolation.

Kyrgios did not like his Australia's treatment of the Serbian player and publicly criticized them, only to become friends with Novak Djokovic after all.

"The fact that I played in the Wimbledon final against Novak is a crazy fact, because we are so different and now we are great friends, so it's phenomenal and we often meet when he needs something, great," Kyrgios said on his "Tennis Inside" podcast. (at 09:29)

Nick Kyrgios has often pointed out what bothers him about Djokovic, and he was especially vocal during the coronavirus pandemic when he criticized Novak Djokovic for organizing the tournament while the pandemic is ongoing.

"It's crazy, I couldn't even dream that I would be good friends with Novak Djokovic, and I don't mean just on the court. Now, we hear each other, we send each other messages and funny things on Instagram," said Nick Kyrgios (09 :51 of this podcast).
