Just to recall, the Italian twice tested positive for the banned substance clostebol, but his suspensions were immediately lifted on both occasions.
Just one day after winning the US Open, the world's number one had to worry because WADA, as well as the Italian Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), could appeal the decision of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
However, both organizations decided not to do it, it was confirmed by the Italian newspaper "Corriere della Sera".
This will leave Sinner with titles at the US Open and Miami, as well as points for Indian Wells and Monte Carlo semifinals, Madrid quarterfinals, Roland Garros semifinals, Halle titles, Wimbledon quarterfinals, Montreal quarterfinals and Cincinnati titles.
If the decision had been the opposite, the suspension would have been valid from the moment the contamination was determined, that is, Indian Wells, after which all the achieved results would have been taken away from him.
