On Friday, from 19:00, Djokovic will meet Lorenzo Musetti on the "Philippe-Chatrier" court in the battle for the grand final of the Olympic Games.
However, the problem is his right knee, the same one he operated on a few months ago, after he tore the meniscus right on the Roland Garros courts.
"I hope that's not the case this time. I don't know. I'm honestly worried," Djokovic told "NBC" after the match with Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals.
Serbian tennis player pointed out that he had "déjà vu" with the situation from Paris earlier this year, and added that he will do everything he can to get out on the court on Friday.
"Even if the doctor says it's not okay, I'll probably go out there and try. These are rare opportunities to fight for a medal for my country and I'll do everything possible in the next 24 hours to put myself in a position to fight for a medal for Serbia," underlined the owner of the bronze medal from Beijing in 2008.
