President presented the flag to the Olympians; Vučić: "I'm nervous - I expect a harvest of medals"

Serbian team will take part on the Olympic Games in Paris from July 26 to August 11, and in the Presidential building, Vučić presented volleyball player Maja Ognjenović with a flag, while he received a badge from water polo player Dušan Mandić.

Serbian Olympians were at the reception at the Presidency of Serbia - basketball players, volleyball players, water polo players, athletes, wrestlers...

Minister of Sports Zoran Gajić and President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OCS) Božidar Maljković were also present.

"I am very nervous, standing in front of such great sports athletes. My task is to wish them luck at the Olympic Games. I want to thank you and your families for the effort and for the fact that you could have annual vacations, but you sacrificed yourself to bring something great to your country. We will watch every performance of our athletes with trepidation. On the other hand, there is no greater honor than doing something nice for your country," said Vučić.

OCS President Božidar Maljković wished good luck to all the Olympians, while Maja Ognjenović, on behalf of all the athletes, thanked them for the assistance and conditions provided by the state.

"I want to express my great satisfaction that Dušan and I had the honor of being flag bearers. Being the leader of this team is an honor and a pleasure, and I thank you for that. I thank the state on behalf of the whole team, because it provided us with the best conditions. I want to thank the Minister of Sports, our federations, as our preparation period was at a high level this year. I hope we will be able to achieve better success compared to Tokyo and that we will have support along the way," Ognjenović said.
