Serbian female boxers at Vučić's reception: "It was amazing"

Serbia won six medals at the World Cup in Niš, five of which were bronze and one gold.

Andjela Branković became the world champion, and bronze medals were won by Sara Ćirković, Dragana Jovanović, Natalija Šadrina, Anastasija Lukajić and Nikolina Gajić.

"Thank you for everything you did in Niš, making us proud and the nation happy. Thank you for your courage. What we were able to watch was amazing in the matches you won and lost. Incredible dedication, courage. You gave your best for our flag," said Vučić.

President of Serbia recently thanked Andjela Branković, who won the gold medal.

"You have written the history of Serbian boxing. Thank you for making us special. Thank you for showing how to fight in the ring, but in life, too. On Thursday, the state will pay out money - 30,000 euros for gold and five times 20,000 for bronze. We should invest in boxing. Thank you all. I wish you much success in the future. Congratulations, long live Serbia," added Vučić.

Then the world champion, Andjela Branković, spoke.

"Thank you for hosting us 12 days ago and for seeing us off to the World Cup in a nice way. You were an additional motivation to achieve these results. Thank you to the association for recognizing the perspective of women's boxing. I personally want to thank the national coach, who remembered me, who believed that I could make a result. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you to all the girls, who taught me that in individual sports we are not alone and to fight for our country. Congratulations on this result," said Andjela.

Sara Ćirković presented the icon of the White Angel to the President of Serbia as a gift.
